What is it?
Investment Managers Insurance (IMI) is designed to cover claims against Investment Managers, Responsible Entities, investment funds, investment trusts and their employees as well as Directors & Officers.
The policy is structured with three insuring clauses being Directors & Officers Insurance, Professional Indemnity Insurance and Crime Insurance.
Cover under the Professional Indemnity insuring clause protects the investment advisors / managers and funds when providing “Investment Advisory Services”. The Crime Insuring Clause covers the investment manager and the funds for loss as a result of a 1st party or 3rd party claim (loss caused by staff or other third parties that are known or unknown).
Importantly, cover is also provided for individuals such as the investment advisors, fund managers, management, directors and members of the Compliance Committee.
